6682 Realese Date
I seen the new cingular pricing sheet like 2 and a half weeks ago and 6682 was scheduled to be released on the 2nd of Sept. with Cingular. As we all know that was the biggest lie this year. Does anyone know when EXACTLY its comming out? I got the 6620 but the 6682 is 2 appealing.........

I too went from a 6620 to 6682. Can't wait to get it. As expected, released exclusively to Cingular today. I saw that on Nokia.com. Phone no longer showed in phones or expected soon. Doing a search on 6682 brough up the page showing it at Cingular ONLY. Does not show on Cingular website. I called and just got done ordering it! Should have it this Saturday, 09/10 😁

1 When they "run out" of phones, is that it? The end? Fini and Kaput? No such thing as ordering more or manufacturing more to meet demands?
2 Did you hold the 6682 and dial on their keypad? If so, what did you think of the small keys? I used the phone and even with my small hands, those keys felt far too small.

They will manufacture more I am quite sure.
My previous phone was a 6620. Same size keypad, samller actually. The side number keys, 1,4,7 and 3, 6, 9 were smaller then the center row, not long. So in a sense the 6682 are bigger. The keys feel much better and more responsive, crisper. I can type more acurately on the 6682.

Ah, that explains it. You had become accustomed to the 6620, which had smaller keys, so coming to the 6682 with slightly larger keys feels like luxury to you. It is the opposite with me: I come from the Moto V60 keys which are very very easy to press blindfolded.

My 6682 is very well balanced phone suprisingly. Fits fine in my hands and the keys are ribbed so it is easy to distinguish where one key ends and the next begins. The weight of the phone makes it feel durable and not cheap.

Sounds like a great phone, but how is the reception? What part of the country are you in? Do you know if the phone is using the 850Mhz network?
I'm confident the phone has plenty of features everyone could use, but the big question is how well it works on Cingular's network.
I have a RAZR v3 that I use in the SF Bay Area and have a number of areas where reception is poor or non-existent. And this are is supposed to be saturated with 850Mhz as well as 1900Mhz cell towers. I've not been impressed with my phone reception in the least.
Features are OK, but I really want to find a Symbian based phone that has great RF capabilities.

I had this phone, but unfortunately dropped it in a bucket of water. I can assure you, ths is a fantastic phone. The reception is great. I could get 4 bars in my house when none of my other phones would work at all. Everything about the phone is great. It's expensive, but worth it for the quality. My husband wont let me spend that much on another phone since I broke it, so I'm now having to settle for a RAZR. Since it doesn't have all the great features of the 6682, I'm going to bling it out with swarovski crystals to make myself fell better-lol. Good luck!
