6700

I was wondering the best way to put ringers on this phone. Also I heard there was a program you could buy for about 40 dollars and then the phone could be used as a modem without having to pay it to Sprint. Has anyone heard of this? Most importantly tho, the ringers.

T-Mobile MDA vs Cingular 8125

Given that these two phones, the MDA from T-Mobile and 8125 from Cingular, are close siblings, are there significant differences in the hardware/software?

What about T-Mobile vs. Cingular as carriers? I am currently a long-term T-Mobile user in NYC and have a BlackBerry 7290.

Pushed email, phone clarity, and Internet access are the three most important issues for me. I like the idea of MW5 and, according the reviews, this device, in either iteration, is better than the Treo 700W.

Any comments about the choice between T-Mobile and Cingular in NYC would be appreciated. Thanks

Outlook Business Contact Manager

I use a Microsoft add-on to Microsoft Outlook on my laptop called Business Contact Manager (BCM). Does anybody know if Outlook in Windows Pocket PC OS will sync up with BCM. Is there equivalent software I need for PPC? Verizon told me Windows Mobile 5 will not. Verizon was not completely certain about BCM syncing up with PPC. I'm trying to decide which smart phone/pda phone to buy. Any advice is appreciated.

GPS Navigation

I'm with Verizon and want to upgrade to a new phone. For my wife I would like to get a pda or pocket phone and install a navigation program like Streets and Trips with gps. Can I do this, if so is there a fee with Verizon to use this program, should I switch to another carrier. Also any recommendations on phones would help.

Sprint's PPC 6700 Or Cingular's 8125

Hey everyone, now this thread is for the best of the best techies that know it all. this I find to be a big comparison on a lot of different ends. I'm wondering about these two phones and how they compare, as opposed to call quality, internet quality. Here's what I know and heard so far. EV-DO is much much faster than EDGE Technology, but I heard so much about Verizon's EV-DO compare to cingular's edge as opposed to Sprint's. This is probably dumb but it probably is the same or maybe it's not. Tell me your feedback on every little detail because there's a big difference in plans as well. Sprint charges only $15 for unlimited web data, and Cingular charges a whopping $39.99. Well, here goes nothing hope it becomes a hot thread with many...

Is the HTC TyTN coming to Cingular-When/prices?

I have a Cingular 8125 that I like a lot. My fiancee is interested in the same phone but wants to be able to use the future UMTS and higher speed data and as well will be tethering that to a laptop. It seems that this is the perfect solution.
Are there any other phones she should look at instead? She doens't need a full PocketPC but it's important to her to be able to sync tasks, calendar, and contacts with her PC. As well, what is pricing expected to be if it comes out for Cingular?

Outgoing calls

Folks, sorry if this is wrong place to post question.

I use Sprint 6700 with Windows Mobile 5.0 with MSFP. Yesterday I did enable
Exchange 2003 device security features and since then I'm not able to make
outgoing calls when device is locked.

However I can answer incoming calls but can't use keypad to press PIN or
option 1 on keypad.

How can overcome this issue? Thanks in advance

How To Close Apps

When operating a Window Mobile PPC, I run into the issue of actually closing apps that are running in the backround.
ex, when you're on your computer and you minimize a window, it's still running in the backround on your desktop.
Does this happen with Windows Mobile PPC's? If that is the case, is there a firmware upgade or program out there that will allow me to see and close what is running in the backround?

Please Help! How do I enable 3 way conference calls on my WM5 device?

I just bought an unlocked brand new Cingular 8125 (HTC Wizard) on ebay and I cannot figure out how or if I can do 3 way conference calls. This was so easy on my Palm OS Treo. There is an entry on the menu that says "Conference" but it is grayed out. I am hoping one of the gurus here can point me in the right direction toward a solution as I require the use of this feature in my business. 3 way calling is supported by my network. Is there a firmware update necessary? Do I have to flash any Cingular software off of this device in order for conference calling to work? Does Windows Mobile even support this feature? Thank you for any help you can provide.

How can I edit Call History?

For Windows Mobile 5.0, how can I edit/delete the individual call entries in the Call History. You can easily delete the entire list, but not individual calls. Are there any utilities available that provide this function?
