A Need Cameraless Smartphones

The wireless companies could make a lot of money in the DoD and many other business areas if they would offer more windows mobile smartphones without a camera. I know of many companies that would get rid of the blackberries and get the Treo 700w for their employees if it did NOT have a camera on it.
Phones that combine a many devices (cell, PDA, MP3, etc.) are very attractive to the professional market, but many professional markets do not allow their employees to bring camera phones into there facilities.
These are the people that can afford and would really LOVE to benefit form such devices, but they are of now use to them if they can not bring them into work and incorporate them into their everyday routine. That is kinda the purpose o...

8125 users..... Bluetooth File Transfer

Hey fellow 8125 users, I've been trying to work every and all aspects of my phone to get well acquainted with it. However, I've come to find that I am unable to transfer media from my pda via bluetooth. So I'd like to ask of you, has anyone been able to transfer data from your pda via bluetooth? If so, how is it possible?

I mean, don't get me wrong, I love this phone. But it can't possibly be beaten by my Siemens SX66, c'mon it's just not right. Any help regarding this matter will be highly appreciated.

Thanx

T-Mobile SDA Active Sync Problems !

I just got a new T-Mobile SDA - I have two questions:

1. The synchronization with my calendar works except of the synchronization of multi day events - they are getting synchronized, however the date is moved one day earlier, e.g. an event in outlook from the 4th July - 6th July will show from 3rd July - 5 July on the SDA calendar ? All other appointments or one day events are synchronized correctly !

2. How can I synchronize my notes from Outlook with my SDA ?

THANKS A LOT !

Pocket Flashlight public beta for Motorola Q just released!

Artamata, Inc. has just released a public beta for Pocket Flashlight.

Inspired by the Motorola Q's rather bright camera flash, Pocket Flashlight allows you to turn it on and off without the slow and cumbersome process of using the built in camera application.

To download and for more details, please visit:
http://www.artamata.com/pocketflashlight »

Phone Scoop forums have always been a great resource for me and I would appreciate any feedback you guys may have!

Thanks,

Sherwin

Mobile 5.0 Fresh Install

I just purchased the Treo 700w from Verizon. If I were to say the phone worked well, I would not be telling the truth. It locks up frequently and does not seem to have the power/memory to run windows mobile 5.0.

Now I find it hard to think that Palm and MS would have released a product that would perform as this does... especially when they have invested millions in advertising dollars.

I guess my question is this - is the product at fault, or did Verizon "tweak" the phone so much that they have hindered the performance?

I would like to test this theory and do a fresh install of the 5.0 OS. The cd that came with the unit will install Verizon's "fresh" install, but that seems counter productive.

Does anyone have any ideas?

An...

PocketTV Classic (freeware) now supporting Motorola Q

We have done the necessary adaptations to PocketTV (MPEG Movie Player) to support the Motorola Q. You need version 1.2.8 or later.

Performances on the Motorola Q appear excellent: Video encoded at 500 Kbit/sec in 320x240 resolution play in fullscreen at full frame-rate (up to 30 frames/sec).

You can download lots of cool (and free!) MPEG-1 video clips from http://www.pocketmovies.net

You can download PocketTV from www.mobihand.com :

- PocketTV Classic (freeware): http://mobihand.com/product.asp?id=6825

- PocketTV Enterprise Edition; http://mobihand.com/product.asp?id=5754

PocketTV works well on all Windows Mobile Smartphones and Pocket PCs.

Enjoy!

Cingular 8125 HTC Network & Wi-Fi Settings?

Ok, I have a few questions regarding my new HTC 8125 through Cingular wireless. Cingular can't help me and even HTC was a bit apprehensive to tell me how to do it. This is what I would like to do with my new 8125.

I have a Linksys WRT-54GS router and I have shut off the DHCP server in my house and also have WEP enabled on it as well. I am sucessfully able to connect my HTC to the router and browse the internet with a static IP, as the way that I prefer in my home, also it does NOT broadcast my SSID information.

I have the home network on the device, and have the SDIO Wireless Adapter selected, and with a static IP. If for instance I go to the Apple Store and want to join thier network, I have to go in and modify my settings to obtain ...

Disable MPx220 Camera Button (on the side)

I have had my MPx220 for about a month now. What I am trying to accomplish is the ability to disable my Camera Button on the side. I have found that I am constantly taking pictures of the inside of my pant’s pocket.

Based on the searches I have done, I realize this must be accomplished by editing the Registry. I have downloaded both Smartione and PHM Registry Editor.

I followed instructions on how to define some special keys on the MPx220. Specifically The Camera Button – HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Drivers\BuildIN\KeyBD\Came raCommandLine
“CameraCommandLine”=\Windows\camera.exe
I tried to remove the Command all together and that did not work.
Then I tried to change the Command Line so it would do something else like go to the Home Scr...
