Camera Control

Hello,

Is there a way to control the camera of a phone, e.g. Nokia 7650, remotely or automatically, meaning I want to implement this via an external device or no direct user interface? Is this possible?

Thanks!

nokia 6600 wap downloading problems

I have a nokia 6600. When i download for e.g a game off wap and its bigger than 200kb, i get a message saying "services: unable to perform operation". I read up on this and found out that it is a fault in the 3.42.1 firmware. They have corrected this in the 4.09.1 firmware but i read up that with the 4.09.1 firmware when u use the bluetooth or IR they freeze alot. So i dont want this firmware. Is there a patch something i can get for more 3.42.1 firmware to correct this problem? Or can somebody help me? Does any1 else have this problem?

6600 Dialing the "6"

Anyone finding it hard to dial this particular number. I use my right hand mostly to dial the phone, and I always seem to have trouble getting this digit.

videos

Hi there guys,

For some reason when I try to send a video multimedia message from my 6600 to my mate who's got a 7650 they won't work on his phone.

Does the 6600 have a different format or something?

Cheers,

Hooner

6600 Video Conversion

I've read several postings involving the conversion from MPG etc. to 3GP format, which is done by the Nokia software directly.

But how can I convert the videos which the 6600 makes and which are in 3GP format into MPG or AVI?

All the best,
Ralph

New Nokia 3660 kind of cool

Man have I always liked the nokia 3650 but have been reluctant to buy one because of its weired keypad lay out. Now that problem has been solved with the new 3660. It also sports a better picture with 65k colors. Do you guys think this phone is cool? Does anyone know when it launches in the US???? I want one bad.... 😎

Symbian 7.0???

Hi all. I'm a palm user and have been quite happy with the platform. Unfortunately aside from the new Treo 600 (which seems to be impossible to get these days) there aren't many good phone combos with it. So now I've been looking at the new Sony Ericsson P900 which uses the Symbian OS. What are peoples oppinions of it? How does it work?? I'm also a mac user so any info on syncing would be appriciated as well. Thanks.

3650 and uploading photos to server

I have a 3650 and want to know if there are any programs that will make it easy to take 3650 pictures and get them uploaded to a webserver somewhere.

Ideally, I want to upload the pics to my own server, but would consider a "photo" server if it was free and made it easy to "pull" pics into my own page designs.

Anything like this available?

uploading pictures

so, I found out about a cool free site to post pics from my phone on and thought I'd drop a line for those of you interested in that sort of thing... the site is snapnpost.com - I was kind of hesitant to try it out because I'm handicapped when it comes to tech items, but its simple to use, even for me.

Nokia 6600 PC Connectivity

I have a Nokia 6600 and the PC Suite software. However, I cannot seem to get PC Suite to recognize the phone. I'm using an infra-red dongle, the XP system sees the phone and offers to transfer files to it but the PC Suite software appears to be blind.

I previously owned a Nokia 7650 and this problem was apparently irreparable with that device. I was told that the 6600 no longer has this problem, and have seen that I can purchse a Bluetooth dongle for communication with my PC. And I see postings from people which appear to indicate that it's now possible to communicate between my PC and 6600.

- Does anyone have any experience with connecting a Nokia 6600 to a PC?
- Is a data cable available?
- Must I use a specific dongle?
- Is PC S...

Video quality

Hi, I've bought a 6600, and can honestly say it's the best phone I've EVER owned, I use it more than my PDA...I'd really like to put videos on, and am currently using a 128MB MMC card (also did you know, even though they are fundamentally the same, the 6600 won't accept the SDcard as a sub for the MMC) so CAN fit videos on...I've also scoured the net for converter proggies to convert AVI/MPG to 3GP and RM files, I have the latest version of Real Media player (for this phone) BUT, the player doesn't seem to want to buffer larger files, and makes a clicky noise through the speaker, is there anyway I can watch my Family guy, Scrubs or Red Dwarf videos on the bus/out and about, without this problem? Many, many thanks in advance.

Can I change the MMS Notification message to the Voicemail symbol?

Hi,

I'd like to know if it is possible to change the MMS notification on my Nokia 6600 or on the Ericson P800 to the voicemail notification?

What I am aiming to do is to make the MMS message look like its a voicemail message.

Thanks,

Darren

Sendo X Operators

Hello there,

I wanted to know if the Sendo X will be available for T-mobile. If not, which operators will sell the phone for a relative deal to the 'mix it'.

Vodafone is virtually out of the frame to release the Sendo X. What does everyone think about the awesome specs on this new phone anyway.. it completely blows my 3650 to another planet.
