updated  Sprint today announced that it plans to be the first carrier in the U.S. to offer the new Treo 650 PDA phone from PalmOne. Sprint will release the device next month in all channels, for a suggested retail price of $599.99, and less than $500 with certain service plans. A version without a camera will also be made available through Sprint's business channels later this year. The Treo 650 has Bluetooth, 23 MB of user-available memory, and is powered by the Palm OS 5.4 and an Intel® PXA270 312 MHz processor.

Treo 650 timeline

🤣
Hello,

I wanted to know if anyone had a more specific date of when the Treo 650 would be released on Sprints network. I have been waiting for this phone for a while. Any negative concerns with the phone?
😡 With Sprint REMOVING the Bluetooth capability, I'm not waiting for the Sprint release (even though I'm a current subscriber). As soon as it hits VZW, I'm switching.

no analog

this may not be important to some, but I need the analog roaming on occassion, why does it seem to be that all the new smartphones have no analog on them? In MN & the Dakotas, there is not much digital coverage, many spots are analog roaming.

Verizon--when?

As always with new equipment, Verizon is slow to adopt. So, my questions are these:
1. Any idea when Verizon will have this new Treo 650 available, and
2. If not, is the Sprint phone able to be used on the Verizon network? 😳

So switch to sprint (and more...)

😕

Maybe if you are so sick of Sprint being first to release all the "new" phones you should consider switching to them. Their plans are much better as well, less money. Ans since I work in a hospital I get a 25% discount on my total bill.

Does anyone know of more specific plans of pricing and a timeline when they will be sold?

As usual...

As usual, Sprint's always the first to receive the best phones... I'm tired of Verizon taking forever to release a new phone!!!!!!
