Verizon Pushing Maintenance Updates to Droid Pro and Fascinate

Verizon Wireless today announced that it is offering system updates to the Motorola Droid Pro and Samsung Fascinate Android devices. Neither of the updates adds new features, but they offer a number of bug fixes and enhancements to both devices (including updated Verizon V CAST apps). Users can wait for an over-the-air update, or manually download and install the new system software.

Fascinate update

I got mine and I am just glad that I have a calander that works now. I have not and have no plans to "root"the phone. I am very pleased and happy with the update. It is not 2.2 it is a "bug" fix.
Just out of curiosity why do you not want to root your phone? Not trying to say that you should, just asking for curiosity sake.

Bloatware Alert

Yes, I'm sure Verizon wants to push more bloatware and update their current bloatware. I'm sure there's not many fixes or updates to the phone(s).
That's the worst part about Verizon, forcing apps and software that people don't want. Wonder how the iPhone will manage?

I can see it now: attention Verizon customers, we will release an iPhone update that will give you VZ Navigator, Twitter, VZ ...
