Research In Motion co-CEO Mike Lazaridis today confirmed that the operating system planned for its PlayBook tablet — based on QNX and Adobe Flash — will eventually appear on BlackBerry smartphones. He said at the AllThingsD conference, "By focusing on the tablet market, we see an opportunity to free where the smartphone can go. When we have multi-core processors across the board, they'll all be running the Playbook platform." Lazaridis didn't indicate when that might happen, though he expects the PlayBook tablet to go on sale during the first quarter of 2011.

That's not what he said at all - Actually, he didn't really say anything

Trying to understand the quote, which doesn't make any sense (neither did his entire trainwreck interview), he mentioned something about multicore and how half VGA and 1GHz would be high tech, and how they were focusing on the enterprise only, if you disregard the fact they're advertising on the consumer side only, and that BB6 was the future, except when it wouldn't be.

I believe actually, the point Mike Lazaridis was trying to make was "I really wish my mouthy but equally incompetent Co-CEO was here."
