Skype Hangs Up on Nimbuzz

Skype has asked Nimbuzz to cease its support for Skype services within the Nimbuzz mobile application. Skype said that it was willing to work with Nimbuzz to come to terms over the use of its Skype technology, but hasn't heard from the company since August. "Skype's decision is unfair to its own and our users," Evert Jaap Lugt, chief executive of Nimbuzz said in a statement. For its part, Skype said, "We only work with mobile operators and handset manufacturers committed to delivering the best Skype user experience, as we've shown with 3, Nokia, Verizon and, most recently, KDDI." Nimbuzz has until October 31 to halt Skype support. Skype also recently forced Fring to stop using its technology.
