The navigation company TomTom has added a new roadside assistance service to users of its stand-alone GPS devices and users of its application for the iPhone. TomTom partnered with Cross Country Automotive Services, which will provide the on-site assistance to motorists who need it. According to TomTom, roadside assistance will be available via an annual membership, or per incident. The per incident availability means motorists who use the iPhone TomTom app and find themselves in trouble can reach out for help for a one-time fee. The service includes towing to repair facilities, fuel delivery, and more.
