Google-Verizon Net Neutrality Deal Wouldn't Impact Wireless

According to sources cited by the Wall Street Journal, Verizon and Google have reached a tentative agreement regarding the prioritization of internet traffic. The Journal reports that the agreement between Verizon and Google could be announced as soon as Friday, though details are scare. The Journal's sources did make it clear, however, that the net neutrality agreement would not apply to Verizon's wireless network. This means that Verizon Wireless will continue to manage its wireless network as it sees fit. Both Google and Verizon Wireless have publicly refuted the original story as reported by the New York Times, despite providing comments to the paper. The two companies say the Times overstated the intentions of their discussions. Neither company refuted the Journal's portrayal of events.
