Sprint and Clearwire announced the availability of WiMax wireless services in a number of additional markets today. The newly covered regions include: Modesto and Stockton, Calif.; Jacksonville, Fla.; Wilmington, Del.; and Grand Rapids, Mich. These markets push Sprint's WiMax footprint up to 48 markets. Sprint didn't say what the total number of POPS covered is with these additional markets. Sprint said it is still on track to add Boston, Miami, New York and Los Angeles later this year.
