Best Buy and Clearwire today announced a new partnership whereby Best Buy can offering Clearwire's WiMax services as its own Best Buy Connect wireless broadband product. Starting in 2011, Best Buy will add a 4G option available to customers wishing to purchase its branded broadband service. Best Buy didn't specify if the 4G option will only be available in markets covered by WiMax, or if it will be available county-wide. Best Buy has yet to reveal pricing for the service, and the specific hardware that might be used. Sprint, Clearwire's WiMax network partner, offers several WiMax/3G modems. It is likely Best Buy will offer similar products. Clearwire and Sprint currently cover 43 markets across the U.S.
