Mozilla recently announced that it is working on an application for the iPhone that will let users of its desktop Firefox browser to sync their browsing history with their iPhone. The app, called Firefox Home, also includes access to users' Firefox bookmarks, the tabs from their most recent browser session, and the Firefox "Awesome Bar," which speeds up web site address typing. The application is made possible using Firefox Sync technology, which Mozilla says in encrypted to protect user privacy. The application will be free, though Mozilla said that it still needs to finish some development on the application before submitting it to the iPhone Apps Store for approval. Firefox thinks the tool will be useful for those who work in a browser environment and shift rapidly between desktop and mobile platforms.
