Today T-Mobile advised users of the HTC HD2 that there is a software update available for the device. According to T-Mobile, the update offers better stability and performance improvements for the HTC HD2, as well as the new MyAccount application that subscribers can use to manage their accounts. T-Mobile warns that the update restores the HD2 back to its factory settings, and advises users to back up their device settings to Microsoft's My Phone online storage and backup service. T-Mobile also warns that users should back up their media to a microSD card or computer. Last, T-Mobile says that some content that users may have purchased on their devices will be lost, and re-purchased if users wish to keep it.
