Official BlackBerry Twitter Client Beta Available Tonight

RIM representatives sent word to PhoneScoop that the official Twitter for BlackBerry smartphone application will go into public beta. Interested users can download the app from the BlackBerry App World or Beta Zone as of 9PM ET tonight. The new Twitter app features a wide range of popular Twitter functions beyond status updates. Users can manage and view lists with the app, and Twitter fans will also be able to send photos, manage their profile or check trending topics. Direct Messages from twitter will use Push Notification, and @replies will show up as a notice on the BlackBerry home screen. RIM says that Twitter will also be integrated into other core BlackBerry applications.
