At the CTIA Wireless 2010 show in Las Vegas, Samsung today released the Samsung Galaxy S, a new Google Android phone with a 1 GHz processor. The phone will also be one of the first mobile devices to ship with Bluetooth 3.0 on board. The Galaxy S runs Android 2.1 and features a 4-inch, WVGA, super AMOLED screen, which offers better viewing in bright outdoor light than previous AMOLED screen technology. The fast processor will allow the Galaxy S to play HD videos at 720p resolution, according to Samsung. To watch those videos on larger screens, the phone will be compatible with DLNA devices, allowing users to connect with home theater equipment and other DLNA devices. Samsung will ship the phone with the Layar Augmented Reality browser on board, in addition to some custom apps and widgets to support news and information feeds as well as social networking services. For text input, the Samsung Galaxy S will use the Swype keyboard design for gesture-based typing. A 5-megapixel camera can be found around back, and the phone has a front-facing VGA camera for video conferencing.

Needs NAM 3G

It is 3G (HSDPA 7.2Mbps, HSUPA 5.76Mbps) : 900 / 1900 / 2100 MHz so it doesn't even fully support AT&T 3G bands and not T-Mobile at all. Sweet device for Europe and Asia.

ok um...i know we talked about the nexus one..but,

i think i'm going to save my money and buy this phone instead. i mean wow come on...look at those specs.
It's very iPhone-esque. I think I'll wait for the legacy, or the desire.
