Today Google announced that it has created a widget for its Buzz service. The widget, which is available in the Android Market for devices running Android 1.6 and up, can be placed on an Android device's home screen for quicker access to Buzz. Users can post text and photos from the widget, which can access the camera controls and camera gallery. It can also be used to open the web application in the Android browser. Google says that posts will be uploaded in the background to save time. Right now, the widget only supports English. It is a free download.

I am so tired of..

Seeing the whole "available for android 1.6 and above". I have had the Hero since launch and its if no one cares about it anymore.
HURRY UP AND GET ME 2.1!
1.5 doesn't have the same type of browser as 1.6 and higher. Buzz mobile is built using some advanced HTML5. I understand the frustration though.. but the leaked 2.1 update for eris/hero seems pretty stable, so hopefully soon.
