Palm Catches Up With New Facebook App

Facebook fans with the Palm Pre and Palm Pixi can now update their application to the newest version of the WebOS Facebook app, version 1.1. While the original Facebook for WebOS offered only a rudimentary version of the Facebook feed, the new version greatly enhances the available features. Besides an improved feed, the Facebook app now integrates even more with WebOS, providing access to photo albums, calendar events and even friend searches. Users can also upload photographs directly to Facebook, though video uploads are missing, even though video capture was added recently in the WebOS 1.4 update. The new Facebook will work with WebOS 1.3.1 and higher. At the moment, users must download the original Facebook 1.0 app from the WebOS app catalog, then choose to update the app in order to get the newest version.
