Samsung recently revealed that it is mass manufacturing a new 3.3-inch AMOLED touch display for mobile phones. Samsung was able to take a 0.001mm touch sensor and place it over an AMOLED display, making the world's first touch-enabled AMOLED panel. This process will allow Samsung to make thinner displays that are brighter and sharper. This particular display will have WVGA (480X800) resolution. Production begins in March, and the display should be ready for handsets later this year.
