Nokia, Infineon Team Up on LTE Chips

Today Infineon and Nokia have agreed to work together to co-develop baseband chips for future Long Term Evolution networks. Infineon already supplies Nokia with chips, but the two are making sure that Infineon's transceivers work with Nokia's modems. This will ensure that their future products are compatible with the new LTE networks that will begin to be available in the coming years. AT&T, T-Mobile, Verizon and others have sided with LTE in the U.S. for fourth-generation wireless networks.
