Nokia Slides Out Two Sliders

Today Nokia introduced two new slider phones that both include quad-band GSM/EDGE radios and a tri-band WCDMA 850/1900/2100MHz 3G variant for North American markets. Other shared features include Bluetooth, support for microSD cards, FM radios and integration with Ovi services. Both will become available in the first quarter of 2010.

  • 6700 Slide: This S60 handset features a 5 megapixel camera with autofocus, flash, Carl Zeiss optics, and on-board photo editing functions. It captures video at 15 frames per second. It will cost about $240.
  • 7230: This Series 40 handset steps down to a 3.2 megapixel camera and includes Nokia Xpress Audio Messaging. It will cost about $150.
