Today Verizon Wireless announced that the Samsung Omnia II will be available starting December 2. The Omnia II will run Windows Mobile 6.5 and the new TouchWiz 2.0 user interface. It has a 3.7-inch WVGA AMOLED touch display that supports "Swype" technology, which Samsung says allows customers to input text faster with one continuous finger or stylus motion across the software QWERTY keyboard. Other features include a 5 megapixel camera with autofocus, flash, on-board editing and video capture; Bluetooth, GPS and Wi-Fi; and 8GB of on-board memory expandable up to 16GB with microSD cards. The Omnia II will shop with Microsoft Office Mobile; SMS, MMS, IM, email and Exchange messaging; and one-touch access to social networking applications via the TouchWiz 2.0 3D cube. The Omnia II will cost $200 after rebates with new two-year agreement.
