Motorola Picks Up RadioFrame's iDEN Assets

Today Motorola announced that it has acquired the iDEN network assets of RadioFrame. RadioFrame makes lower-cost and power-efficient iDEN base stations. Motorola believes that RadioFrames' base station technology will help it to improve upon its iDEN network and push-to-talk services. RadioFrame Networks' iDEN business will be integrated into Motorola's Home & Networks Mobility business. Terms were not disclosed.

Sprint and Motorola should spino off iDEN

Sprint and Motorola should spin off their iDen assets, such as Nextel, into a new joint venture. Both could contribute significant expertise and resources.

It would have to be cheap, and should cater well to business and consumers. They can focus on business if I've read that market right.
