After a routine quality check, Nokia has discovered that some of the third-party chargers that were included with its devices pose a potential risk for electric shock. Nokia said that plastic covers of the affected chargers could come loose, separate, and expose the charger's internal components. Users could be shocked if they touch the exposed components while the charger is plugged into an outlet. Nokia recommends any users with charger types AC-3E, AC-3U or AC-4U visit its charger exchange web site to learn how to exchange their chargers. About 14 million chargers were affected in total. Nokia will replace the chargers for free.
