Verizon Wireless Confirms the Droid Can Be Tethered

Verizon Wireless has indicated that it will offer customers the ability to tether the Motorola Droid to act as a wireless modem for their laptops starting in early 2010. Uses can expect to pay an additional $15 above the normal smartphone data plan for this feature, which allows for up to 5GB of data per month.
