Today Google made Android 2.0 (Eclair) available to developers through its Android Software Developer Kit. Developers interested in Android 2.0 need simply to update their SDK and developers' tools. It provides new APIs for developers and a host of new features. New capabilities include a unified inbox, support for multiple Google/Exchange accounts, SMS.MMS search, improved camera controls, improved software keyboard and associate typing software, HTML 5, and Bluetooth 2.1, including the OPP and PBAP profiles. Android 2.0 also supports various new screen sizes and aspect ratios. According to Google, a minor update will be made to Eclair before the end of the year, but it didn't provide further details on what nor what that update will include.
