Today Palm made version 1.2 of webOS available to users of the Palm Pre. webOS 1.2 offers a wealth of new features that include LinkedIn and more IM platform support for Synergy. Other improvements include the ability to filter emails via inbox, download files from the browser, download Amazon MP3s via Wi-Fi or 3G, pause podcasts, tap-to-call contacts in calendar appointments and cut-and-paste from web pages. The update will also allow users to pay for apps in the Palm Apps Catalog (credit card required). webOS 1.2 is a free update and will be pushed out over the air automatically.
