Samsung's Omnia Line to Get WinMo 6.5, B7330 Announced

Today Samsung announced that it will equip its entire series of Omnia smartphones with Windows Mobile 6.5 as soon as the new software from Microsoft is released. Those Windows-based Omnia devices that are already for sale will be able to upgrade to Windows Mobile 6.5, though Samsung didn't say when the upgrades would be available. Samsung also announced the B7330, the latest device to join the Omnia series. The B7330 is a monoblock-style handset with a full QWERTY keyboard. It runs Windows Mobile 6.5 Standard (non-touch) and has quad-band GSM/EDGE, plus 7.2Mbps HSDPA / 2Mbps HSUPA radios (3G spectrum support not listed) on board. Other radios include Wi-Fi, aGPS, Bluetooth 2.0 with A2DP support, and FM with RDS. It also has a 3 megapixel autofocus camera and support for microSD cards up to 32GB. It will be available in October.
