AT&T Adds 850MHz Coverage to NYC, NJ, and Long Island

Today AT&T said that it has increased coverage and capacity in the greater metropolitan New York City area with its 850MHz spectrum. According to AT&T, large portions of New York City, Long Island and New Jersey should see improvements in service, as it has enabled some 1,600 cell sites with 850MHz. AT&T noted that it plans to add more cell cites to the NYC region. AT&T also said that it will begin upgrading its 3G network to HSDPA 7.2Mbps speeds in the fourth quarter, with completion expected in 2011.

same here. hopefully the upgrade it everywhere soon cause i get no service in my house but i do outside. 😒
