Nokia Announces Full-Touch Phone With Low Price

Nokia today announced the 5230, a relatively affordable phone with a large finger-touch display. The phone is extremely similar to the 5800 XpressMusic, but steps down to a 2-megapixel camera (from 3) and removes Wi-Fi to reach a 149 Euro price point. Back covers will be available in a range of colors. The 5230 will be available in the fourth quarter of 2009. One version will include WCDMA 850/1900 for North American 3G; all versions also include quad-band GSM.

not bad for $206 but iphone still only $99

hmmm I wonder if this has picture messaging and voice dial, also it says 150 euro, which to me makes it seem like its over seas, in which they dont really do contracts in the same fashion as we do in the states, so non contract 150? i really doubt the...

That's unsubsidized. Subsidized, that pretty much means free.

I suspect that's unsubsidized, as its listing in Euros. Many European companies do not subsidize/require contracts. iPhone has a pricey 2 year commitment.

Iphone is subsidized, this phone isn't. For an unsubsidized price it's not a bad price at all.
