Handmark has announced and launched an application storefront for Windows Mobile phones ahead of Microsoft's own Windows Marketplace. HandMarket Apps has 50,000 pieces of content already available to Windows Mobile phones running WinMo 6.0 and up. Content includes applications, wallpapers, ringtones and more. The apps storefront supports user reviews, categories and offers free, paid and subscription content. Consumers can purchase items with their credit cards, and HandMarket Apps also supports carrier billing for Alltel, AT&T and Sprint. Microsoft's Windows Marketplace is will launch later this year with about 600 apps, supporting devices with WinMo 6.5 and up.

They already have one of these, and have for a few years...it's called Pocket Express...

I'm confused, what's supposed to be different? They already have carrier billing in place, and a ton of apps, even for the BlackBerry...
