AT&T has filed a false advertising claim against Verizon Wireless with the National Advertising Division of the Council for Better Business Bureaus. Verizon Wireless uses several phrases in its national advertising campaigns, such as: "America's Most Reliable 3G Network" and "America's Best 3G Network" and "America's Most Reliable Wireless Network." AT&T says these statements can't be substantiated and calls them false. Verizon Wireless defended its statements and asked a U.S. judge to declare them "truthful." Verizon asserts that AT&T's argument "relies on the incorrect premise that speed is an essential element of the standard for measuring network reliability." The case is being heard is the U.S. District Court in New York.
