RIM Bringing Desktop Syncing to Macs

Today Research In Motion said that it plans to offer a version of its BlackBerry Desktop Software for Apple computers starting in September. At the moment, BlackBerry Desktop Software works only with Windows-based PCs. RIM said that the Apple version of the desktop software will support most of the feature of its WIndows counterpart, including syncing iTunes playlists, calendars, contacts, notes and tasks; adding/removing applications; updating devices when new software becomes available; backup and restore device data with such features like automatically scheduled backups; and manage multiple devices. It will work with Apple computers running OSX 10.5.5 and up.

Apple has revealed the iPhone 15 series, which moves to a USB-C connector and brings several key features from last year's Pro models to the more-affordable standard models. These include the pill-shaped sensor cutout in the display that Apple calls Dynamic Island, a brighter display that can reach 2000 nits, a 48 megapixel main camera, and the A16 Bionic processor chip.

Finally PDA manufacturers are starting to realize that Mac owners are an untapped market- some mac owners can't use the iphone for work and need a Palm (treo) or Blackberry- now these consumers have choices

i hate macs but gosh darn it if the lack of syncing with mac's has made me lose alot of data sales 😲

y wouldnt they be able to use an iphone for business? better than both palm and RIM for consumer use and business use.

well actually the RIM may have an edge on the busniess aspect but not by much.

That's great -- and I hope that RIM takes it one step further by allowing desktop syncing in Linux.

I Wonder...

...what took so long? For the longest the only thing available was Pocket Mac which is not a great substitute. It's certainly about time.
