Today T-Mobile announced its second Android device from HTC, the myTouch 3G with Google. The myTouch is very similar in look and design to the HTC Magic Android phone, which was announced earlier this year. The myTouch's key features are its 3.2-inch HVGA capacitive touch display with accelerometer, 3.2 megapixel camera with video capture, and deep integration with Google's services, such as Gmail, Maps, YouTube and Picasa. The myTouch 3G has quad-band GSM/EDGE as well as access to T-Mobile's 1700MHz 3G network and Wi-Fi. T-Mobile points out that the myTouch has some new software on board called Sherpa. Made by an outside vendor, this software will pay attention to the way the customer uses the device and the Android Market and adjust the phone's settings accordingly. The myTouch 3G will be available for pre-order on July 8 for $200 on contract. T-Mobile will begin to ship pre-ordered devices in late July, with general retail availability planned for early August.
