Apple has sent an email to new iPhone 3GS owners who were unable to activate their new phones immediately. In the email, Apple apologized and blamed the delays on high traffic volumes on its activation servers. Apple has decided to respond to the delay by giving customers a free gift card. Part of the email reads, "On Monday, you'll receive an email from Apple with an iTunes Store credit in the amount of $30. We hope you will enjoy this gift and accept our sincere apologies for the inconvenience this delay has caused."
