Today Palm posted a new web page that provides some details on the availability of the webOS software development kit (SDK). On the site, Palm said that the SDK, which will enable developers to build apps for webOS, is simply not ready yet. Palm's goal is to get the SDK to developers by the end of the summer. In lieu of the SDK's availability, Palm said that it will be expanding its early access program, which will give developers access to some of the tools needed to create applications for webOS. Palm also said it will publish more resources outside of the early access program, and it will allow current early-access developers to share the information they have (which was previously under NDA) with others.
