RIM Announces the Dual-Mode Tour for Sprint and Verizon Wireless

Today Research In Motion announced the BlackBerry 9630 Tour, a new QWERTY-equipped device that supports both CDMA EVDO Rev. A and quad-band GSM/EDGE plus 2100MHz HSDPA networks. The Tour also comes with a 3.2 megapixel camera with flash, autofocus and video capture. The Tour has a full HTML web browser, 3.5mm headset jack, Bluetooth 2.0 with A2DP, supports microSD cards up to 32GB, an GPS. RIM said the device is expected to be available this summer from North American carriers. Both Verizon Wireless and Sprint have announced that they will sell the Tour. Sprint will offer it for $200 after rebate with new agreement. Verizon didn't offer pricing details right away.
