A company called Common Voices has released a software tool for the HTC G1 Android phone that will make viewing and retrieving voicemails easier. NowMessage.com is a free, email-based service that will automatically convert voicemails into an audio file, which is then emailed to the user. According to Common Voices, the system allows G1 users to retrieve voicemails directly from their handset without the need to dial into T-Mobile's voicemail system. Because all voicemails arrive via Gmail, they can be archived, forwarded or replied to via email. NowMessage will also work when the phone is powered off or disconnected from the Network. The service is free.
