Today Sony Ericsson announced the W205 slider, an entry-level Walkman phone that will come in an dual-band GSM/EDGE 850/1900 variant (W205a) for North American markets. The phone's most novel feature isn't the music capabilities, but multiple phone books, which allow you to keep certain entries private if you need to lend the phone to someone else. The W205 also has an FM radio with RDS, TrackID, and the ability to record radio broadcasts. It carries a 1.3 megapixel camera with video capture, Bluetooth, support for 2GB memory cards and it will be pre-loaded with the Opera Mini web browser. It will be available in select markets in the second quarter.
