Updated: added detail about which 5800 was supported
Today Nokia announced a major firmware upgrade for the 5800 XpressMusic phone. Some of the improvements include faster data downloads from the Internet, an improved email experience, and on-device search capabilities. Other new features include a more responsive user interface, new camcorder and still camera features, such as a burst shooting mode, a new built-in mobile dictionary that has voice playback of words, and a new way for users to check for application updates and download them directly to their phone. The update is available for European version of the 5800 and not the 5800 NAM. It is available for free through Nokia's software download tools.
