A company called Bsquare recently announced that it has been charged with bringing Adobe's Flash technology to the Android platform. In a press release, Bsquare said a "global tier 1" carrier made the request. At the moment, Android is only available from T-Mobile USA, and will soon be available from Vodafone. Flash will permit richer mobile Internet and multimedia applications on Android devices. No time frame for Flash availability on Android was announced. Bsquare bought NEC America’s Adobe Flash Technology Consulting and Distribution business about a year ago.
