Alltel Drops the Price of Wireless Broadband

Today Alltel announced a new bundle that reduces the cost of a wireless broadband plan. Wireless broadband, accessed via a wireless modem on a PC, costs $60 per month if used as a stand-alone plan. If it is bundled with an Alltel wireless voice line, the price will drop to $40 per month. The bundle is called the Smart Choice Pack.

Hmmm...

I'm an Alltel employee and I don't know if this statement is true, we've received no emails/internal postings regarding this change. At this time I don't recommend getting your hopes up!
I agree with you on this not, but Verizon "did" if not do have the same set up. I wont be suprised if this is true. It will surely help boost my data card sales.
Ya, it is true, to a point.

Our rep told us about this a few days ago. But what he said it was is $40 a month for the data card, not $60 if the data card is put on a plan that has a smartphone on it.
