Microsoft recently announced that is has given its web-based Hotmail email service POP3 access. This means that users of mobile phones will be able to access their Hotmail via the email client on their cell phone, rather than signing in through a browser. POP3 access to Hotmail works in the U.S., the U.K., Canada, Australia, Brazil, France, Japan, Spain, Germany, Italy, and the Netherlands. Microsoft said that it will roll out POP3 access to Hotmail in other countries throughout 2009.

great

this is good, even though WM, Outlook, WinLive Mail can access Hotmail without effort
Does Windows Live uses POP3 now too?
Always wanted to access my account from my phone by not going through the browser.
