Quickoffice introduced a new, paid application in the Android Market that will let Android phones view Microsoft Office documents. Quickoffice on Android will work with Word and Excel files, which can be opened from Gmail or a memory card. The viewing features include the ability to zoom and scroll throughout the document. Word and Excel documents can be saved to the device directly and telephone numbers, Web sites and email address are hyperlinked within the Word files. This means Android users can place a call, open a web site or start an email by touching the number, URL or email address.
