HTC today announced the Touch Diamond2 and Touch Pro2. Both upgrade to higher-resolution WVGA (480 x 800 pixel) displays, and feature a new version of HTC's TouchFlo 3D interface that integrates deeper into Windows Mobile and organizes all communication history by contact. Both will be able to run Windows Mobile 6.5 when it launches later in the year.

touch Capacitive?

these phones are AMAZING do they have resistive or capacitive screens?
Probably resistive. Thats what HTC usually goes with
Resistive. Windows Mobile 6.x (including 6.5) does not support capacitive.
...
The original Pro and Diamond support both features which was something I like about them. The touch screen is resistive but the hard buttons below the screen are capacitive. The phone uses it to zoom in and out on things like pictures, messages, and O...

The best just got better!

The Diamond 2 now has a 5mp camera and supports up to 16gb micro sd can't wait to see how well the pictures look and print. I also watch a bunch of movies on my Pro so the Pro 2's new tilt feature is a major plus, along with the new speaker the old one kinda forces you to use the headphones. Seems like they took away the tv out feature but I have a walk around for this anyway. Wonder if Sprint will get both of these bad boys? Htc is always at the top of the game period. 😎 Only thing I could possible ask for now is mobile WiMax support and that the US versions keep the 2nd camera. 😎

What's the point in hoping HTC will put out a smartphone with WiMax when Sprint doesn't seem to be ambitous with WiMax, it's still ONLY available in what, ONE city? Baltimore.

Yessssssssssssss! O - O - O - O - O - O 😲 (That was my "O" Face!!!)
My first Htc phone was the pc pocket on Sprint, I traded my blackberry for it on buyers remorse and it was the best decision I ever made. Then I moved onto the Mogul and now the Diamond and the Pro. Htc is always on the cutting edge and the most innov...

US 3G Bands?

Any word on whether the Touch Pro 2 will have US 3G bands? From HTC's materials it looks like it won't, which means we'd have to hope for AT&T to pick it up. 😡
The original unlocked versions never do. But if Sprint or Verizon are gonna add them to their line up, Htc will add the bands specifically to support their networks. 😉

Rich, any mention of a 3.5mm headphone jack for the Touch Pro2?

When is HTC going to get with the frinkin program and join the 3.5mm headphone jack bandwagon?!!!?
No, I don't think either has it. I handled them both today and didn't notice any jacks other than extUSB.

The Pro2 is a business-focused device anyway. It wouldn't have that.
