TeleNav Brings Turn-by-Turn Directions to HTC's G1

TeleNav announced that it has made its navigation software and services available to the Android platform and the HTC G1. TeleNav GPS Navigator for the G1 will provide turn-by-turn GPS navigation with 3D maps, traffic alerts and one-click rerouting if drivers encounter traffic or other obstacles. The service will be able to recognize speech input and will include some 10 million business listings, gas prices, weather updates and restaurant reviews. Users can also plan trips online, and then sync directions and maps with their G1. The software an be downloaded from the TeleNav web site. TeleNav will be offering a free 30-day trial of the software beginning February 24. After that, users will have to $10 per month.
