British Air to Offer In-Flight SMS and Mobile Internet

Starting in the fall of 2009, British Airways will begin offering passengers on the London to New York City flights the ability to send and receive text messages while in flight. The passengers of these business class flights will also be able to access the mobile Internet via handheld devices. British Airways did not disclose pricing for the service, nor exactly what technology is being used to provide the service.
