Omega Health, a company based in Belgium, has made a new chip that it claims counters the harmful electromagnetic radiation emitted by cell phones. According to Omega, its E-Waves chip reduced headaches and loss of concentration when using cell phones. It also negates the warming effect that the electromagnetic radiation has on the human body. Omega didn't provide details on how large the chip is, or where it would be placed or used, but it goes on sale in Europe starting this week for approximately $50. Omega expects to begin selling the chip overseas beginning in 2009. Scientists worldwide remain split between those that believe there is a risk and others who believe there is insufficient evidence to show mobile phones are unsafe.
