HP Crafts Flexible, Plastic Display

HP announced new display technology today that uses plastics, less raw materials, and less energy than today's displays. The display resembles paper and uses a new technology called self-aligned imprint lithography, or SAIL. HP called the SAIL technology "a more sustainable, environmentally sensitive approach to producing electronic displays." HP did not say if or when the technology would be incorporated into products such as laptops or mobile phones.
