Bluetooth SIG Still Working On Next Version

Responding to media reports about the future of Bluetooth, the Bluetooth Special Interest Group today suggested that the next Bluetooth specification will not be version 2.2, but 3.0 instead. This update to Bluetooth, long in the works, will bring with it faster transfer speeds and faster time-to-connect speeds. The Bluetooth SIG hopes to have the next version ready by the middle of 2009.
